Frequently
Asked Question About Special Commission Paintings

Will Albert
work with my budget?
Certainly,
Albert will supply you with a "size-price standard"
sheet so you may select the size to match
your budget. If you
have an unusual size requirement, Albert will adjust proportionally
from the standard sheet.
Being hundreds
of miles apart, how do I communicate to Albert what colors, composition
and framing I want?
The
majority of Albert's customers are familiar with his style and
range of compositions.
Most already have ideas as to what size, colors and composition they want. If the customer is not familiar
with
the options available, Albert will supply a complete presentation
of options for the customers review.
Will Albert
be upset if I want specific colors to match a room decor or a
frame to match my furniture?
No.
Albert has painted for the most demanding customers, including
interior designers, architects,
captains of industry, heads of
state and very picky entertainment personalities
He
may ask for color samples of the particular colors your trying
to match. And, Albert has access to
hundreds of
color options for his new framing presentation which are available to his customers,
additionally
he will hand frame your painting personally.

Once I have
communicated my specifications to Albert, then what?
Albert
will forward a full size, to scale working drawing of your commission
and color tests
to match your color samples.
Albert
encourages his customers to not only review the drawing but to
feel free to make
suggestions or changes. The working drawing
includes the framing detail so you can literally tape the
drawing
to the wall and confirm the size, position and direction of the
painting.
What are the
time frames for a special commission?
From
the initial contact, it will take approximately
7 to 10 days to
receive the working drawing. Once the drawing
has been approved and returned to Albert the painting
process
will take approximately 3 weeks. Albert has been know to "speed
up" the process if the customer
has a special deadline to
meet such as birthdays or anniversaries.
Are there
any additional fees for a special commission?
No.
There are no additional fees over and above the retail price of a
painting from a gallery.
Naturally if you purchased a painting
from a gallery you would be required to pay the packing and shipping
fees.
Albert will require the same fees, but, Albert does not
markup said fees.

What if I
decide to change the painting after I've approved and returned
the working drawing?
If
the commission is in the painting phase and can be altered, not
a problem.
If the commission is in the painting phase and major
color changes or composition changes are required,
Albert will
probably have to submit a second working drawing for approval.
Naturally the process will take additional time.
Why is Albert
so amiable to changes after receiving an approved working drawing?
Albert
comes from the old school, "The Customer is always right!"
Albert has built a successful
business in a very competitive
industry and is dedicated to pleasing his customers.
Additionally,
at no point is a painting lost. The demand for his work is great
and if he has to change
the specifications for a commission, he
realizes he can finish the rejected piece and sell it on the open
market.
What if the
painting arrives damaged?
Paintings shipped from
Albert's studio have been delivered damaged.
Typically the damage is incurred by the delivery service to the frame
only. Immediately,
Albert will file a claim. The customer will be required to ship the piece
back to Albert.
Then Albert will reframe the painting and re-ship the piece along with the
customer return shipping
re-embursment.
If the actual artwork is damaged a new painting will be painted and framed for the customer.

What if the
commission arrives and I am unhappy?
Although
this circumstance has never happened, all Albert will ask, is
a second try.
Return the rejected painting and allow him to paint
a totally new painting with the changes requested.
if, in the
event the second painting is unsatisfactory, Albert will require
the return of the painting
and all commission fees will be returned to the
customer less the shipping fees.
Does Albert
have a customer reference list so I may speak directly to his commission customers?
Yes,
Albert will forward you a list of past commission customers upon
request.
